Colin Stockton



Colin Stockton has many years of experience in representing clients in a wide variety of complex litigation and employment-related matters. He has practiced in both federal and state courts throughout the country. Much of Colin’s work relates to helping clients resolve construction disputes, landlord-tenant issues, products liability claims and other disputes or issues arising from contracts and other business relationships. Colin has extensive experience in both negotiating and litigating leases, construction contracts, vendor/purchaser agreements and other contracts related to the operation of or management of businesses. Colin also has significant experience in helping clients resolve employment-related disputes, specifically including disputes related to non-compete agreements, contract enforcement, creation and/or enforcement of workplace policies and compliance with federal and state laws prohibiting employment discrimination, harassment, or retaliation.

Colin has had the privilege of having his writings published in the area of electronic data management, such as electronic monitoring in the workplace (i.e., monitoring of email and internet access) and the discovery of electronic data. He has appeared on Charlotte-area newscasts to discuss such issues.

As a former college basketball player despite having limited athletic talent, Colin lives out unfulfilled athletic dreams by coaching youth sports. He is active in public service, including service on the Board of Managers for the McCrorey YMCA.
